The modern Rosati’s carryout chain was founded in this suburb in 1964, though the family has restaurant roots on Taylor Street from the early 1900s. It’s now one of the largest pizza franchise chains in the country. The menu runs the full Italian-American board, but the signature is the tavern-style thin crust.
